Mr. Mitchell represents both public and private employers in matters relating to labor relations, collective bargaining negotiations, personnel and human resources consultation, employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, claims of discrimination and other general employment matters. He also advises clients on matters related to the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the WARN Act, the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and other state and federal laws affecting the work place. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, David attended Grove City College, where he obtained his undergraduate degree. David later obtained a Master of Gerontological Studies with a concentration in program administration from Miami University. Thereafter, David attended Duquesne University where he earned his juris doctorate. After graduating from law school, David served as an appellate law clerk with the Honorable Joseph A. Hudock of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Before joining Campbell Durrant Beatty Palombo & Miller in 2007, David practiced private sector labor and employment law with the Pittsburgh office of another law firm for three and a half years.
