This involves him in activities before the National and Pennsylvania Labor Relations Boards, EEOC, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the Federal Department of Labor, Pennsylvania's Department of Labor and Industry, other regulatory agencies and State and Federal Courts. His clients consult with him regarding prevailing wage disputes, FLSA issues, labor relations, collective bargaining, grievance and interest arbitration, employment discrimination, personnel administration and on related matters. He began his career as an attorney for the United Mine Workers of America and moved from there to representing management. Immediately before entering the private practice of law, he spent two years as in-house labor counsel for Mead Corporation. Bob has had direct experience managing substantial numbers of persons during periods of employment with the City of Pittsburgh, as Labor Relations Director for Allegheny County, and as the initial Managing Partner for a large multi-state law firm.
