Areas of Practice: Vicki L. Beatty is a shareholder practicing in the areas of labor and employment, civil rights litigation, municipal law/school law, administrative law and appellate law.
Education and Professional Background: Chatham College, B.A. Political Science and Russian 1980; University of Pittsburgh, J.D. 1983. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1983 and Oklahoma in 1985. Also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

| Ms. Beatty represents both public and private employers in matters relating to employee relations, collective bargaining negotiations, personnel and human resources consultation, employment discrimination, civil rights litigation and other general employment matters. She also counsels clients on matters related to the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection law, and other state and federal laws impacting the work place. Ms. Beatty routinely represents governmental entities in the federal and state trial and appellate courts in litigation ranging from statutory employment discrimination to constitutional claims involving First Amendment, Due Process, Equal Protection, unlawful arrest and other civil rights assertions. Ms. Beatty also serves as solicitor for a number of municipal entities. Vicki was born and raised in Erie, Pa. She attended Chatham College and the University of Pittsburgh Law School. Vicki also volunteers annually to provide pro bono services for the Neighborhood Legal Services Association. Vicki has written a number of articles on labor and employment topics for statewide publications and is a frequent speaker for numerous organizations including the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania League of Cities and Municipalities, the County Commissioner's Association of Pennsylvania, the Local Government Academy, the Pennsylvania Boroughs Association, the Pennsylvania School Board's Association, the Government Finance Officer's Association, the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association and the Pennsylvania APMM. She served as a contributing editor for How Arbitration Works, Sixth Edition, Elkouri & Elkouri, a national treatise on the grievance and interest arbitration processes. |
