Professional Background

Ms. Aquino's practice focuses on representation of both public and private employers in matters relating to labor relations, personnel and human resources, wage and hour disputes, claims of discrimination and other general employment matters. In addition, she represents governmental entities in civil rights and general litigation. For two years, Ms. Aquino served as a law clerk to the Hon. R. Stanton Wettick, Jr., working in the Commerce and Complex Litigation Center in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. After her clerkship, Ms. Aquino was a litigation associate with a Pittsburgh law firm.

Ms. Aquino received her law degree, cum laude, in May 2007 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she graduated in the Order of the Coif. While in law school she was the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Pittsburgh Journal of Environmental and Public Health Law and the recipient of a Dean's Scholarship.

Ms. Aquino was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and certified to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in December of 2007. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association, and presently serves on the governing Council for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section.

On A Personal Note...

Ms. Aquino holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University where she graduated with honors. She is among alumni from Carnegie Mellon's drama program who have worked in the television and film industries in Los Angeles. She is a native of Bethel Park, a suburb of Pittsburgh, and now lives in Mt Lebanon.
