Professional Background


Ms. Allen joins the firm after serving as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia Law Department. As a government attorney, Ms. Allen represented the municipal employer and its various Departments in grievance arbitrations with a focus on discipline and discharge issues, as well as contract disputes. In addition to her labor practice, Ms. Allen has served as lead litigation counsel in employment discrimination cases. Ms. Allen also brings with her extensive experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, and catastrophic injury litigation.

Ms. Allen received her law degree in May 2016 from Widener University Delaware Law School. While in law school she was a Research Editor for the Widener Law Review, and the recipient of the Pro Bono Distinction Award. Ms. Allen was also a member of the 2016 Mock Trial Team, and served as the Community Service Chair for the Black Law Students Association.

Ms. Allen was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, New Jersey Bar, and is certified to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Allen is also a member of The Barristers' Association of Philadelphia.

Ms. Allen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University. She is a native of Philadelphia, where she actively participates in local arts programs committed to serving inner city youth. In her spare time, Ms. Allen teaches ballet and jazz to school-aged children, and can often be found running the trails in Fairmont Park.
